I owe this know-how to a wide-ranging education and many years of professional experience, both from translation / copy-editing projects and various language institutes, as well as international business and academic teaching.
What exactly does that mean for you?
As a trained industrial clerk and long-term export professional, I am intimately familiar with the actual language and vocabulary used in the context of operational processes and supply chains (most notably logistics, sales and customs procedures).
Having studied English and Norwegian at international universities and an additional training as a state-certified translator has equipped me with a broad linguistic and literary expertise..
However, since I have acquired speaking skills in currently 7 foreign languages myself, I know perfectly well what it feels like to be in the position of a learner and am perfectly familiar with the usual traps and pitfalls!
Thanks to my wide-ranging activities at universities, language schools and academic research institutes, translating and proof-reading scientific publications is just as naturally part of my portfolio as teaching languages at all levels.
